Mr. Peter Bancroft Williams started his career in banking with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in the West Indies working in new product development and private banking across the Caribbean region, and was a founding director of their Building Society in Jamaica.
He then joined KPMG in the UK, working on a range of pan European regulatory risk and compliance projects for financial services clients. Returning to the Caribbean he ran the Family Office of an affluent family with assets and holdings in a range of financial offshore structures.
Mr. Williams then joined Guardian Life Insurance Company in Jamaica, sitting on the Investment and Risk sub-committee of the board with primary responsibility for developing and implementing the Risk Management Framework and Business Continuity Programmes. From there he consulted at the Embassy of Japan in Kingston as the Political Specialist, advising on CARICOM and SICA geo-political risks and provided socio-economic risk analysis on the region. Currently he provided International Advisory Services to organizations in Digital Transformation and Corporate Governance with international clients in the Blockchain, Fintech and Financial Services industries.
For over a decade Mr. Williams has led a passionate team of creative professionals in his position as the Editor in Chief of PARADIS a leading Caribbean-Latin media house. Here he positions the Caribbean-LATAM as a premier destination for investors and travellers seeking authentic experiences in across the globe.
Mr. Williams brings an interdisciplinary approach to addressing issues related to risk-reward in a range of industries from hospitality to financial services, and the diplomatic arena covering issues related to regulatory, government relations, private sector, social enterprise, academia, and civil society affairs.
